Available for compatible 2015+ BMW models with iDrive 5 or iDrive 6.
How to check your iDrive version
- Go to Navigation.
- Choose Map.
- Press the Option button on the controller.
- Select Navigation settings.
- Scroll down to Position and version.
- Select Version information.
Does it show NBTEVO?
CarPlay activation may be available. Send us your version information and VIN so we can confirm compatibility.
Requirements
You’ll need a Windows laptop and an ENET cable to complete the activation.

- Apple CarPlay activation for compatible 2015+ models with iDrive 5/6.
- iDrive 4 to iDrive 6 flash available for compatible 2015/2016 BMW 1, 2, 3 and 4 Series models.
- CarPlay options for compatible 2017+ small-screen ENTRYNAV2 iDrive 6 systems in BMW 1, 2 and 3 Series, X1 and X2.
